Flooring in St. Petersburg, FL
Wholesale luxury vinyl plank you can stand on before you buy it. We supply flooring in St. Petersburg from our Pinellas Park showroom on US-19 — one line, the Eminence Canyon Collection, carried in depth and priced well below retail.
Old Houses, New Floors
St. Pete has the most interesting housing stock in the county and the most awkward floors to go with it. A 1920s bungalow in the Old Northeast may have original pine over a crawlspace, three layers of later covering on top, and not a square corner in the building. A Kenwood mid-century sits on slab. A downtown condo has a concrete deck, an association rulebook and a lift to negotiate.
Choosing flooring in St. Petersburg therefore starts with the subfloor rather than the sample. Humidity is the constant — it is what cups engineered hardwood and swells laminate at the seams — but the practical question is what is under your feet right now and whether it is flat and sound enough to build on.
SPC handles the moisture side outright. A stone polymer composite core does not swell, cup or delaminate, whether the damp is coming off the bay in August or up through a slab. Flatness is the other half, and it is a preparation question rather than a product one. In an older home expect that to be a real line in the quote; skipping it is what produces hollow spots and clicking a season later.
- 100% waterproof to the core — for bungalows, slabs and waterfront condos alike.
- 30-mil commercial-grade wear layer — a specification most residential vinyl does not reach.
- Stone polymer composite core — will not expand, contract or warp.
- Click-lock installation — floats over a sound, flat subfloor with no glue or nails.
The Eminence Canyon Collection
We carry one flooring line and carry it properly. The Canyon Collection is a premium SPC luxury vinyl plank with a 30-mil commercial-grade wear layer — the sort of specification written for shops and restaurants, which is why it copes with sand tracked in from the beach and a rental that changes hands every season.
Rigid core is worth understanding before you compare prices. The category is governed by the ASSURE® Certified standard from the Resilient Floor Covering Institute, which sets uniform requirements for SPC and WPC construction covering wear layer thickness, indoor air quality, heavy metals and phthalate content. That matters because “luxury vinyl” is not a specification — wear layers sold under that name run from 6 mil to 30, and two quotes that look identical on paper can be years apart in service life.
Stocking a single line is deliberate. We know how it behaves over a decade rather than how the brochure describes it, and we hold enough that a job does not stall waiting on a matching dye lot. See the full range and specifications on our Flooring page.
How Buying Wholesale Works
- Visit the showroom — see full-size planks under real light, next to the cabinet and countertop samples you are considering.
- Measure and quote — bring rough dimensions and we will work out square footage, waste allowance and transitions, then price it.
- Collect or deliver — we supply the flooring at wholesale, and we can put you in touch with installers we trust locally if you need fitting.
To be clear about scope: flooring from us is supply-only. We install cabinetry in-house, but floors we sell and then connect you with independent installers rather than pretending to run a fitting crew. Knowing that up front lets you budget the labor separately and compare quotes honestly.
If you are in a condo, check the building rules before you order. Downtown and waterfront associations frequently specify a minimum acoustic underlayment for upper-floor units, restrict delivery windows and require certificates of insurance from anyone working in the building. All manageable — but far easier to plan for than to discover on install day.

From most of St. Petersburg it is around twenty minutes north on US-19 or 4th Street. Walk in during showroom hours; no appointment needed. We supply homeowners, landlords and remodelers across the Old Northeast, Historic Kenwood, Crescent Lake, Snell Isle, Shore Acres, Jungle Terrace and Pinellas Point, the downtown and Edge District condo buildings, and out to Gulfport, Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach.
Take samples home. Flooring is the one material you see under every lighting condition there is, and a plank that reads warm under showroom LEDs can read distinctly grey at four in the afternoon in a north-facing room. In a period house it is worth laying a sample next to the original trim before you decide — heart pine and a cool grey plank rarely flatter each other.
Flooring in St. Petersburg: Common Questions
Do you sell flooring in St. Petersburg?
Yes. We supply wholesale flooring in St. Petersburg and across Pinellas County from our showroom at 10286 US Hwy 19 N in Pinellas Park — about twenty minutes from most St. Pete addresses.
Do you install flooring, or only supply it?
Flooring is supply-only. We sell it at wholesale and can refer you to local installers we trust. Cabinetry is the product we design and install in-house.
Will it work in a 1920s bungalow?
It can, and the waterproof core is a real advantage in a house of that age. The work is in the preparation: old subfloors are rarely flat, and rigid core planks bridge dips rather than following them. Budget for levelling, and expect more cutting than a modern house needs because the rooms are not square.
Can it go in a downtown condo?
Usually, subject to your association. Most buildings specify a minimum acoustic rating for upper-floor units, which is an underlayment question rather than a plank one. Check the rules before ordering and factor in delivery windows and lift bookings.
